Students of the Dance Academy are becoming ever more recognisable in the Slovenian dance world; this time they delighted the audience at the ceremony marking 30 years of the Anton Trstenjak Institute.
Together with the Opifex string quartet of the Academy of Music of the University of Ljubljana, students of AMEU – Dance Academy created an unforgettable music-and-dance experience at the ceremony marking 30 years of the Anton Trstenjak Institute, held in the atrium of the Research Centre of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts.
“It was a privilege to take part in the ceremony marking 30 years of the Anton Trstenjak Institute. Our students did outstanding artistic work and we are very proud of them,” says Rosana Hribar, head of the Department of Contemporary Dance, adding that working with the Academy of Music of the University of Ljubljana was a very fine and enjoyable experience. “We worked together excellently, which is reflected in a complete final result that charmed those attending the event. We are very pleased and delighted with what came out of it. We have certainly decided to continue working together and to create further artistic highlights.”

“Thirty years of the Anton Trstenjak Institute is a special occasion to reflect on how precious the fruits of his life and work are for the upbringing and education of the generations to come,” said Academician Jože Krašovec in his opening address. Those present were also addressed by the ceremony’s honorary patron, the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, Dr Igor Papič; among the invited guests of honour were the President of Alma Mater Europaea – ECM, Prof. Dr Ludvik Toplak, and the Dean of AMEU – Dance Academy, Assoc.
