Project duration: 1 October 2025 – 31 August 2026

The project is implemented within the operation submitted under the public call Problem-Based Learning of Students in the Working Environment 2024–2027, co-financed by the Republic of Slovenia and the European Union from the European Social Fund Plus.

Short description:

The purpose of the public call PUŠ 2024–2027 (Problem-Based Learning of Students in the Working Environment: Economy, Non-Economy and Non-Profit Sector in the Local/Regional Environment 2024–2027) is to enable students to gain practical experience, knowledge, and competences in a real working environment during their studies. The call promotes cooperation, networking, and knowledge transfer between the higher education system and the working environment, including the economy, non-economic sectors, and the non-profit sector in local and regional communities.

In this way, young people are supported in developing knowledge and skills for implementing ideas, entrepreneurship, innovation, creative and critical thinking, and creativity, thereby improving their employability and facilitating their transition to the labour market after graduation. The call also addresses other challenges in higher education, such as the systematic introduction of knowledge transfer between higher education institutions and the working environment, greater flexibility and adaptation of study programmes to labour market needs, and the establishment of long-term cooperation between higher education institutions and the working environment. The operation contributes to the development of an institutional framework for an open and innovative higher education area.

The aim of the public call is to include students in project activities and enable them to acquire general and profession-specific competences for an easier transition to the labour market.

The projects are divided into two strands:

Strand A – implementation of project activities by higher education institutions in cooperation with the economy
Strand B – implementation of practical activities by higher education institutions in cooperation with the non-economic and non-profit sector in the local/regional environment

Within the PUŠ AMEU-AP – 2nd Opening operation, the following projects are implemented:

Strand A: Dance-Movement Approaches for Improving Reaction Speed and Coordination in Older Adults (PLEKOR)
Strand B: Sensorimotor Abilities in a Virtual Environment: Assessment and Comparison (SENZIVR)
