Stay connected after your studies
Alma Mater Europaea — Dance Academy maintains and nurtures connections with its former students. The AMEU – DA Alumni Club operates within the ALMA MATER EUROPAEA alumni network and allows you to stay in touch with the academy, with peers and with news.
The academy is very proud of the achievements of its graduates — pedagogues, active dancers and choreographers recognised on international stages and at festivals. Alumni clubs are effective forms of social networking that enable information exchange, creative collaboration and pedagogical partnerships.

Our alumni
Five stories of our graduates — pedagogues, choreographers and dancers shaping the Slovenian and international dance scene.
Helena Valerija Krieger
Head of the ballet school at the Maribor Conservatoire of Music and Ballet, teacher of dance and ballet, and lecturer in Methodology of Dance Education at the Higher Ballet School in Ljubljana. She belongs to the first generation of DA students in the Ballet programme. She applies her knowledge of ballet methodology, stylised and character dances and repertoire in her daily teaching work; at Alma Mater she is continuing her education at doctoral level — humanities.
Claudia Sovre
Ballet pedagogue and choreographer. Her studies at the DA deepened her ballet teaching practice in the Vaganova method and in contemporary approaches that allow her to adapt the methodology to students with different physical predispositions and prior dance experience. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree.
Martina Svetina
Teacher of ballet and contemporary dance techniques at the Maribor Conservatoire of Music and Ballet, and lecturer on the Ballet programme at the Dance Academy. She teaches the subject Movement at the artistic department of Ptuj Grammar School. Her studies gave her in-depth knowledge of teaching classical ballet and an understanding of historical, choreographic and philosophical practice.
Neža Pele
She graduated from the Dance Academy in 2019, mentored by Dr. Andreja Kopač and Irena Tomažin Zagoričnik. Through her teaching approach and creative work, Tomažin introduced her to vocal-movement creation, which she still pursues today. Her studies gave her valuable experience and teaching approaches that support her own artistic expression.
Anamaria Bagarić
Bachelor of Dance and Choreography, self-employed in the cultural sector. Regular contemporary-dance pedagogue at KGBL and SVŠGUGL and member of the professional dance group Fourklor. She is continuing her postgraduate studies at AGRFT — Art of Movement. The diversity of the DA programme prepared her to collaborate with a wide range of artists and to teach.
